I was eight years old and genuinely proud of those results. I had already done my own internal postmortem. Yes, I could have focused more, but I got an A. I was satisfied and already looking forward to my summer break.

It was essential to stay grounded in reality. I accepted that I could not make up for weeks of delay in a single sprint. Nonetheless, I committed to pushing myself within reason. By verbalising both my goals and my limitations, I created space for meaningful progress without risking burnout.
